Barbers Auctions (Market Drayton Market Ltd)

Barbers Auctions (Market Drayton Market Ltd) runs one of the country’s largest one-day livestock markets in Market Drayton, Shropshire.  The modern, self-contained market site is situated on a seven acre greenfield site on the edge of the historic market town of Market Drayton, which was first granted its market charter in 1245.  On the border of the North Shropshire/Cheshire/Staffordshire border, only 25 minutes from the M6, Market Drayton Market attracts buyers and sellers from far and wide.

The experienced Barbers Auctions team is dedicated to traditional livestock sales, standing straw sales and agricultural machinery auctions along with farm dispersal sales, seasonal sales and a fieldsman service.   The main market day is Wednesday which is complimented by the country’s largest dedicated barren cow and over thirty month sale every Monday afternoon.

The Auctions team comprises Bernie Hutchinson (Managing Director), Mark Jones (Director) and Ben Baggott (Auctioneer/Fieldsman). Until recently Mike Taylor was Chairman and shareholder of Barbers Auctions.
